PROGRAMS & SERVICES
IFG PRODUCTIONS operates a series of programs aimed at empowering Rockland County residents. IFG PRODUCTIONS currently has 4 (four) service areas or divisions:
1. CULTURAL EXCHANGE
We seek to transmit peace through cultural events that exemplifies how people from several countries, classes, races and
creeds can be united with a common intention. We help to transcend language barriers and custom; we promote tolerance
between ethnic groups, and a strong love for humanity that amplify with art works and cultural gatherings designed to
inspire empathy and a spirit of union between all residents of Rockland County.
IFG PRODUCTIONS fosters the mobility of creators, artists, researchers, scientists and intellectuals, and facilitates the
organization of cultural and historic events including Parade of Unity (On May 18,Haitian Flag Day), Spring Valley Day
Parade, the Immigrant Foundation Parade, the Italian Columbus Day Parade, and the "Remember the Brave Parade", on
Memorial Day to honor those from Rockland County who die in the war on terror.
2. ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
IFG PRODUCTIONS promotes entrepreneurship through the development of micro loans for men and women. It works
to strengthen and expand the financial resources available to all Rockland County residents, and provide equitable support
and services through financial education and micro-enterprise development.
IFG PRODUCTIONS provides small loans, financial training, and consulting services for small business owners so they
can create a solid financial resource base. It assists local artists and entrepreneurs in forming and operating business clubs
that strengthen their market opportunities and promote support in business development, educate youth in micro-finance
and small business creation. We are committed to enabling our young people to create their own businesses and develop
real-world job skills; to promoting and supporting gender equality through education and excellent quality services.
3. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
IFG PRODUCTIONS develops services designed to provide young people with the advantages that promote optimal,
healthy development of the body, mind, and spirit. Many youth do not have opportunities to experience positive
stimulation for growth or nurturing support from family, friends, and community. In Rockland County, some
community-based organizations work to meet the needs of at risk youth. No single organization does it all, IFG
PRODUCTIONS strives to address the issue by operating 1) A Summer Camp Program and 2) a Group Training
Program. 1) The Summer Camp Program adopts a model that includes basic camping skills, outdoors crafts and activities,
naturalist experiments and projects, outdoor cooking, and fun, and games. The children enjoy experiencing the fun of
camping with activities such as setting up a tent, cooking with a pizza box solar oven, learning how to use a map, singing
camp songs, reading animal tracks and designing a Pictograph System, etc. 2) The Group Training Program, a
multi-dimensional Field Intensive Training, total body workout addressing all the major components of fitness - balance,
agility, strength, power and endurance. Although the session is conducted as a group, participants can expect the trainer
to tailor the workout to them and their workout buddies.
4. HIV PREVENTION
IFG PRODUCTIONS is committed to providing Rockland County residents with a series of services designed to bring
science-based, community, group, and individual-level HIV prevention interventions to the community. The goal is to
implement effective interventions at County level, to reduce the spread of HIV and STDs, and to promote healthy
behaviors.
